You Will Need (3 things)

  • Yarn
  • Bead(s)
  • Sticks

Steps (6 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Using stick you have found in nature set them up in a cross form. I used glue gun to secure mine, but you don't have to. Once you start wrapping yarn they will hold together anyway.

  2. 2

At first wrap your yarn several times in one direction at the center of the cross where the sticks are over each other. Then wrap in the other direction. Kind of like forming an X. This will hold your sticks together.

  3. 3

Then start wrapping over one stick, then under, then move over to the next stick clockwise.

  4. 4

So remember when you are wrapping/weaving the yarn go over the stick, then under and as you come on top you will be moving to the next stick clockwise and repeat.

  5. 5

To change yarn/colors just tie the two yarns together, cut off the one you are no longer using and continue wrapping. You can change yarn as many times as you want. When you are ready to stop just tie up the yarn. You can finish wrapping yarn on the stick or leave them bare. You can use pompoms, trinkets beads or whatever you wish to embellish them.

  6. 6

Then you can hang them in your yard, by the window, give them as a gift.
