Failures are probably due to the type of peanut butter. It's not suggested you use the all natural stuff (adams etc.) because of the oil separation. That, plus all that butter, normally ends in failure. Too much oily stuff I guess. It's not exactly good for you, but peanut butters like skippy or jiff will probably work best.
(learned this by making hershey's kisses peanut butter cookies. Used Adam's one time and Skippy another. Adams = crumbly... Skippy = great!)
Haven't made these yet... but they look soooo good! I'm definitely going to make these soon!
Mine worked out awesome! Is it possible the failures are because of different brands of peanut butter? I know that Kraft peanut butter has a much thicker texture than the home brand stuff from Woolies, and that's just with sandwiches. The difference would be magnified once you add heat. My suggestion would be to make sure you use good quality PB.
i just put mine in the over, i realy hope they work! There seems too be alot that didnt... Also, i couldnt find where the put the coco powder in the dough, so i just added it in last *fingers crossed*
i made them also and they were a failur! They tasted weird and flattened out when baking to make a crumbly mess! The second batch i added a heap more flour and piled on the icing and they were still very crumbly! Waste of food and time!
I think you did yours wrong, when i made mine, they were delicious and baked well!!! I put the directions on her correctly. I am sticking by my cookies 100%, you will just have to raise your oven temp or make the time limit longer, different places or different ovens vary.
DO NOT MAKE THESE!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a total waste of time! DO NOT MAKE!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post my version tomorrow. I was very very disappointed with these. So please don't waste your time making these. It won't work!
ummm this didnt work......DONT TRY THIS AT HOME.... when i put the cookies in the oven, they all flattened out and melted into a weird liquid cake looking thing.......ill post photos.......check my projects.
Thanks for submitting the recipe.
