I used 30 plus years of saved Christmas card fronts, and patterned paper for the larger circles. I cut them with about 8 different edging scissors. Instead of gluing them in place, I used pony beads to separate out the layers, there are 2-3 circles in each. Also used a wooden dowel and base from the craft store. Next time I will use a smaller diameter dowel so I can use slightly smaller beads between the layers.
