I needed to make fake blood for a new act I've put together, but I hate how sticky a lot of it is. I did a bit of research and my friend recommend I use red dish soap as a base. Please note, this is NOT EDIBLE!!!

Combine your dish soap and food dye. Use a bit under half the amount of blue as you do red. This particular batch I used half the amount of blue to red, and it came out on the purple side.
If you use gel food dye, then you will get a perfect consistency. Regular food dye is a bit watery.
I decided to fill flesh coloured balloons with the fake blood, as these are less likely to leak through my costume before it's time! Also white cotton absorbs it the best.
