Give Your Lips A Tropical Vacation

About
When I took the Lip, Body & Bath workshop at Otion Soap, we learned how to make Lip Balm entirely from scratch mixing ingredients using a scale and microwave! I felt like a Beauty Alchemist.
This tutorial, however, just uses Otion Soap's supplier, Bramble Berry's pre-made Lip Balm Base.
It was so easy, and also very fun to work on with my Niece - her hands are the ones in the photos. She was kind enough to help auntie so she could take photos and make this tutorial for you!
I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and are able to make many fun gifts for parties and holidays!

You Will Need (8 things)
- 2 oz Bramble Berry Lip Balm Base
- 2 ½ ml Coconut Flavor Oil from Otion Soap
- Microwave Safe Bowl with spout
- Stirrer
- Dropper
- Microwave
- 10 Lip Balm Container(s)
- Cutting Board or Wax Paper
Steps (8 steps, 20 minutes)

1
You Will Need -
+ Bramble Berry Lip Balm Base.
+ Coconut Flavor Oil (I'm using Otion Soap's brand).
+ 10 Stick Containers for your Lip Balm.
+ Microwaveable Dish (preferably one with a spout).
+ Liquid Dropper.
+ An easily cleanable surface, or wax paper to line your table/counter. -
2
Measure out about 2 ounces of your Lip Balm Base.
-
3
Fill your Microwave Safe Dish, and microwave for 30 seconds.
Stir your Base. If it isn't melted all the way, stick back in the microwave for 15 second intervals until it is melted completely.
-
4
While you're microwaving, remove the caps on your Lip Balm Containers, and line up for pouring. You'll want to be able to pour before it begins to harden, and having them ready to go will save you some frustration.
-
5
Once your wax is melted completely, add in 2.5 Milliliters of your Coconut Flavor Oil, and stir to combine.
Try not to eat the delicious smelling wax.
-
6
Pour into your open containers! Fill them up as much as you can!
Don't worry about making a mess, have fun with it! :D
My niece preferred to fill them one at a time. I like to line them up and pour along the line. Do whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Let them cool and harden WITHOUT caps on.

After 10 or 20 minutes, your lip balms may have had time to cool and harden. Feel free to put those caps on!
**Note: Wait as long as you can before trying to twist those suckers, or they might need a finger-push to lower back into the tube

Wipe up any wax overflow from the tubes, and you're all done! Look at that beautiful thing you just made!
Later, you could add some of your own labels!
I did this by buying some address labels from the dollar store, and downloading the template that came with it. Easy Peezy.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
