You Will Need (3 things)
- Fimo Clay
- Craft Knife
- Oven
Steps (9 steps, 30 minutes)

1
If you are planning on using this piece as a pendant or charm, first gather two strands of leather, wool, cord, whatever you have at hand. For the third piece, a chain or old necklace will make the piece more durable and look intricate!
Now just braid away...

It should look something like this once you have finished braiding your three stands...

Now lets move on to the clay.
Taking a ball (size of your choice, I used roughly the diameter of a £1 coin) and roll the clay until it is soft. With a flat surface carefully press down onto the clay creating the base of the cake.
A little something like this...
With the same colour (white) cut several small sections of some more clay and form these into small ball shapes, these will be your skulls.

Now taking a small amount of black clay (or a colour of your choice) roll 4 sections into a snake like form and position them firmly onto the white base...

So far...this is what mine looks like, however you can design your's to suit yourself...Jump into the mind of Tim Burton ;)

To make the second layer of cake, follow the previous steps with a second colour choice.
I have chosen Orange because Jack was the King of the Pumpkin patch back in Halloween town. I do with I lived there also :(

I apologize for skipping ahead but my camera has ran out of charge.
It is very basic steps, for the third base and the classic hill, I mixed a little of the black clay into a ball of white and conditioned it for a few minutes creating a marble like effect.
For the pumpkins, take very small sections of the orange clay and roll them into a ball shape, then taking your craft knife, carefully mark the classic pumpkin shape lines (is there a technical word for this?)

Almost at the end...
For the moon, a translucent clay would have worked better however I only have white which will also work.
Again this is purely optional, taking small strips of black clay, press them firmly around the middle layer of cake styled to your own desire...

Lastly, going back to the small white balls you made at the start, place them firmly onto the base of your design and with your craft knife, you can create the eyes of your skulls.
Ensure that all your objects are pressed carefully but firmly to ensure that after it has baked in the oven (follow the instructions on the packaging of the clay) the objects will stay intact.
Now you have your very own Nightmare Before Christmas inspired charm! :D
