I've done galaxy nails a couple of times now and the initial prospect seemed rather daunting, but once I got going I was surprised to find out how easy it is to do, due to the forgiving nature of makeup sponges ! I've shown the time as a good two hours to do this design, as I find it always takes longer than you'd expect as you get carried away with the galaxy !

Start with two coats of your base colour. I used Butter London Royal Navy.
Use a makeup sponge dab some white nail varnish on randomly. I used American Apparel T-Shirt.
Next, cover all the white with a mint green colour, using the same technique as in the previous step. I used American Apparel Office.
Dab on some dark blue nail varnish around the edges. I used China Glaze Man Hunt.
Randomly dab some turquoise polish over the mint green. For this I used Orly It's Up to Blue.
Now sponge on some glitter all over the nail. I used China Glaze Fairy Dust.
Using a white nail art pen or a nail art brush and white nail varnish, paint on some dots and small stars.
Add some top coat and that's it !
