I've seen a lot of similar tutorials around but most of them required a hot glue gun, or stitching or something similar, so I decided to try it myself using only the sparse crafty materials from my grandmothers house.

Description

I've seen a lot of similar tutorials around but most of them required a hot glue gun, or stitching or something similar, so I decided to try it myself using only the sparse crafty materials from my grandmothers house.

Instructions

  1. Small imag0370 1314551255

Make sure you have lots of bobby pins available (if like me, creativity strikes you and you end up making loads of these!)

  2. Small imag0369 1314551452

Then sift through your button collections (my grandma has a lot of them) and pick your favourites.

If you don't have any brightly coloured buttons, you can paint some using bright nail polish. Matte finish nail polish isn't great for this.

Then simply pick your buttons and arrange them how you want them. Stick them together and onto the bobby pin with superglue (try not to stick fingers together during this step, as I nearly did a few times.) You can stick more than one button on each bobby pin, or just the one. :)Make sure you hold the bottons firmly in place while the glue dries.

Then just do as many as you like. I liked the wooden ones, and the green ones were just because I had a lot of green buttons. I think the wooden ones are my favourite.
