My friend Jess is moving house very soon, which she is super excited about, so I thought I would do something nice for her and her beloved roommates: her cats. I mean, she’s moving with her boyfriend too but I think that the cats take precedent. I’m not actually a cat person, at all, so it’s never occurred to me before to make a cat toy, but I thought it would be nice to do something for them to celebrate their new home. Though, considering that they’re cats, I’m sure they’ll hate it no matter what I do.

Figure out your pattern and how you want everything to look. I made a mock up of a pattern on some paper, cut it out, then used chalk to make an outline so that I would know where to sew.
The trick here is to sew over the chalk. You don’t have to cut the pieces out and then pin them together that way, and once they’re sewn you just cut away the excess. The only one I recommend pinning in place is the back (pink fabric).
You do the same thing with the ears, then you add your stuffing wherever you want it, add your trinket if you’re using one and sew everything together. You can add a tail too if you would like, I just decided to skip it.
