A ring I made in the spirit of Halloween.
A ring I made in the spirit of Halloween.
Start by making a cone shape out of aluminum foil. It should be the size of your finger. I used a ring that fit me well as a reference. Then, take some pink clay and roll it into two skinny sausages. "Drape" them around your cone in the shape of lips.
Roll two new sausages out of black clay and drape them around your pink sausages.
For the back I made a swirly figure out of black clay. At this point, I baked the ring for the first time.
Next, I added a "background" by flattening a piece of black clay. Cut of any excess pieces. This will also help make the ring sturdier.
Get some white clay and make little triangle shapes for the teeth. I used some of my dirty white clay, which made the teeth look a bit yellowed. Leave some space open for the tongue.
Finally make a triangle shape out of green clay and put that in the gap you left open in the previous step. Try to shape it like a tongue. Bake and glaze! There's your ring :) One more thing: If you bake multiple times, it's best to make a sort of "igloo" out of aluminum foil to cover your project while baking. This will prevent the already baked clay from burning.
