Ok I didn't have a pattern for this so it might be difficult to describe. I started off by crocheting in a circle and then doing a few more stitches at either side. Doing a few rows in this way resulted in an almond shape. At the top I did a couple of triangles and then tied it off. I then used yarn and the plastic eye to create the cat's features. I started doing the X in place of the eye because I only had one cat eye to play with but I though it was cute so I carried on. I backed the whole thing with felt and attached a safety pin so I could wear it as a brooch. I have a whole load of these little guys now with bows, bells and collars.
