After making some cute printable Valentine cards, I decided to turn some into mini-notebooks.

First, you'll need the card. This is just the example. The pdf has 8 cards on one page. The animals all have little hearts for eye shine! Print the cards and cut down the middle of the page between the sets of cards. Score with the bone folder then fold the cards in half then cut them out using either a 2 inch circle punch or scissors. If you don't have a bone folder, there are other things that will work. Frequently I use the back of a steel crochet hook!

Then it's time to make the pages. You'll need 8 sheets of paper to make 8 notebooks with 32 pages (front and back) or 4 sheets of paper to make 8 notebooks with 16 pages (front and back). Fold the sheet of paper in half lengthwise, then fold the edges in towards the center fold to make an accordion folded sheet of paper.

It should look like this on the edge.

Then measuring by eye, cut 8 sets of pages going through all 4 layers of paper and leaving a folded edge intact.
If you don't have a circle punch, just trace the outline of a folded card 4 times butting the folded edge of the card against the folded edge of the paper and cut out the pages. -

Then nest the pages together, making a stack with them unfolded and lined up the fold with the fold in the open card. Tie a piece of embroidery floss around the fold in the middle. Close it up!
You can put it under a book overnight so it's very flat if you'd like.
