I'd read that it was possible to melt Hama beads in the oven to create flat, rounded beads... I was very intrigued and I wondered how it would work with the mini Hama beads. Here's my first attempt at making a melted mini Hama bead bracelet.
I'd read that it was possible to melt Hama beads in the oven to create flat, rounded beads... I was very intrigued and I wondered how it would work with the mini Hama beads. Here's my first attempt at making a melted mini Hama bead bracelet.
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Lay your Hama beads out on a baking tray. As you can see, they don't all need to sit flat as they will melt into a round shape, regardless of their position.
Once the oven has reached temperature, put in your tray of Hama beads. It won't take long for them to start melting and flattening down - probably about 2 minutes. As you can see, the beads that were placed on their side, also melted standing on their sides. Cool!
Take the melted beads out of the oven and leave them to cool.
Finally thread them onto some silk thread and knot it into a loop so that it's just wide enough to fit over your hand. Please take a look at my blog for further information
