I made mine to wear to a bridal expo, and got a lot of compliments- ends up being cheaper than buying a faux veil, too!

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Approx. 18" of off-white Tulle
  • Barrette
  • Approx. 18" of off-white Lace Trim
  • Decorative Buttons or Charms

Steps (3 steps, 120 minutes)

  1. 1

Using a hot glue glue, gather the 18" of tulle and attach to the flat side of the barrette. I suppose you could stitch it in place instead, but I'm addicted to hot glue. If you want, you can cover the gathered tulle with a piece of opaque ribbon or a scrap of fabric to hide the edges.

  2. 2

On top of the tulle, place a strip of lace to cover the top of the barrette. Make a bow with the lace and attach it to the center of the barrette.

  3. 3

Use buttons or charms to decorate the barrette further.
