You Will Need (7 things)

  • 100g flour

  • 50g butter

  • 50g sugar

  • ~300g of short crust pastry

  • 1 apple

  • 1 Jar of apple sauce

  • 2 table spoons of cinnamon

Steps (6 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 200 Degrees Celsius

The cut the short crust pastry into small chunks approximately 1.5 x 1.5 cm each, and roll into a ball.

  2. 2

Press the balls of pastry into the mini tartlet tin with either a tartlet shaper or the end of a small rolling pin.

  3. 3

Chop up the apple into small chunks, then mix with the apple sauce and the cinnamon.

Note - add the cinnamon slowly to adjust to your taste!

  4. 4

Carefully place the apple mixture into the pastry.

Rub the butter, flour and sugar together to form the crumble topping. Then carefully cover each tartlet with the crumble topping.

  5. 5

Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Then allow to cool and enjoy!

Note - this can easily be done with other fruits

For example, here are some cherry crumbles which use a single dark cherry (de-stoned) with a little cherry jam. The possibilities are endless!
