You Will Need (15 things)
- Rejuvenator Spirit
- Silver Luster Dust
- Palette
- Paintbrushes
- Small, sharp Knife
- 30 g (1 OZ) white Sugarpaste (fondant)
- ¼ tsp gum Tragacanth
- Toothpicks
- Small, microwave-safe plastic Bowl(s)
- 200 g (7 OZ) black Candy Melts
- 6 boy Cake Pops
- Pink blossom Tint
- Black blossom Tint
- Gold Luster Dust
- Polystyrene Block
Steps (7 steps, 30 minutes)
-
1
Make 6 boy body pops with red bodies. Set aside to dry.
-
2
Prepare the black candy melts in the plastic bowl according to the instructions on the packet.
-
3
Dip Flapjackson’s head into the melts to create his hair. You can use a toothpick to spread the melts into place. Don’t forget to add his signature curl at the front! Repeat for the remaining pops and set aside to dry.
-
4
While you’re waiting for Flapjackson’s hair to dry, make his mirror shades. Knead the gum tragacanth into the sugarpaste to make it easier to shape. Take a pea-sized amount, flatten it down and shape it into shades by hand or with a small, sharp knife. Repeat for each pop.
-
5
Mix a small amount of silver lustre dust with a few drops of rejuvenator spirit and paint all six pairs of aviator shades. Set aside to dry.
-
6
Once dry, fix each pair of shades into place with some of the leftover candy melts.
-
7
Mix a small amount of pink blossom tint with a few drops of rejuvenator spirit and, with a fine brush, paint lips onto each pop. Do the same for the collar in black and the button detailing in gold. Set aside to dry completely in a polystyrene block.
