I was going through some of my dad old shirts and I found this one and really wanted to make something out of it. It doesn't have to be a mens shirt if you have a button up thats loose then use that!
I was going through some of my dad old shirts and I found this one and really wanted to make something out of it. It doesn't have to be a mens shirt if you have a button up thats loose then use that!
First you need to find a button up shirt! Then button the shirt and sew the front closed.
You'll want to measure how low you would like to insert the elastic, creating an empire waist.
I used blanket binding (because I have tons of it)You can cut your own piece of fabric to enclose the elastic. Then sew the fabric piece where you would like the elastic to be. Remember don't completly close the piece off so you can slip the elastic in. Sew the elastic together. Then close the fabric strip. I also slipped elastic on the bottom of the sleeve to create a puffy sleeve effect.
Attach a pin and then poof!
Fini!
