I know there's kind-of a lot of steps, but each step is incredibly simple and the whole project is really easy. My brother had a high-school project where he had to make a tombstone for someone (I think a famous person). My mom bought this styrofoam Halloween hanging one that had stuff on it. So I flipped it over and made this.

OPTIONAL. Figure out where you want each ribbon to lie and mark the top and bottom with the thumb tacks.
Measure the length each ribbon needs to be and cut the number you will need. I used different ribbons for the different directions so I just did the ribbons that went diagonally left to right first.
Hot glue the ribbons on.
I did the same things with the other color ribbons. (The white ones.) They looked pretty bare once I had, so I added a thin ribbon down the center.
Glue the buttons (or whatever you're using) in the center of where the 2 different ribbons meet.
If your board doesn't have a string to hang from glue one on. (The board I was using did, but it was black so I wrapped a white string around the black one.)
Slide in pictures and hang!!
