It was my Nana's birthday yesterday, so I made her a meerkat brooch, which is her favourite animal.
It was my Nana's birthday yesterday, so I made her a meerkat brooch, which is her favourite animal.
Print out my template (see attachments) or draw your own meerkat template and cut out the individual pieces.
Trace around the templates on to your felt with a pencil.
Cut out two pieces of felt for the body but cut off the outline of the arm and leg from one of them.
Place the two body pieces on top of each other and start stitching around the outline.
When you get to the nose, place the nose on top and stitch in place.
Stitch the arm and leg in place.
Stitch the eye patch and ear in place. Stitch a black seed bead on for the eye.
Stitch a brooch back on the back of the meerkat.
You're all done!
