Using a flavoured oil adds a zingy twist to a classic dressing

You Will Need (5 things)

  • 2 tsp Whole Grain Mustard
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 6 tbsp Meditrranean Herb flavoured Olive Oil
  • 1 torpedo Shallot very finely chopped

Steps (3 steps, 5 minutes)

    In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, salt and vinegar. Make sure the salt is completely dissolved before adding any oil, as the oil can stop it from dissolving.

    Gradually whisk in the oil until it is all blended in, and then stir in the shallot. If you have time to let it stand to allow the shallot flavour to blend in, so much the better!

    Stir again before serving over a fresh green salad. It would also be delicious with a salad of tomatoes, lightly cooked green beans, cold cooked new potatoes, black olives and wedges of boiled egg.
