1
For this project, you'll need a wine glass and some air drying clay.
-
2
Starting with a small ball of clay, roll it out into a log and then place it at the neck of the glass, shape it at the top so that it's creeping up the glass like a tentacle.
-
3
Continue this around the neck of the glass, making some tentacles longer than others.
-
4
Now add the clay around the stem of the glass towards the base at the bottom.
-
5
Add a few small tentacles around the base of the glass.
-
6
Get a small cake fork.
-
7
Scrape down the clay to create a wood like effect with the cake fork.
-
8
Pick out some crystals for your glass and cut a length of pearl chain.
-
9
Wrap the pearl chain around the top and bottom of the stem, pressing into the clay.
-
10
Remove the pearl chain, making sure that the pearl shapes are imprinted in the clay.
-
11
Do the same for the crystals, embedded them to leave their shape and then removing.
-
12
Leave the clay to dry overnight before painting with silver metallic paint.
-
13
Once the paint has dried, regather the embellishments.
-
14
Use a glue gun to stick the pearl chain in place.
-
15
Then glue on the crystals.
