This is a combination Christmas and goodbye gift for my friend who is rejoining the service as a non specific minister (he himself has Eastern leanings) This doesn't have to be a religious object, it could have any sort of object or message inside. JUST MAKE IT SPECIAL!!!!

Assemble your supplies. I used a candy box for my extra picture.
Cover the matchbox sleeve with one pattern of paper. Using a folding bone to crease the corners will help make the paper less springy and stay around easier for glueing.
Cut out your picture (if you haven't already) and figure out where you'd like to place it.
Glue
If you go around a corner with your image, crease it with your bone first so it sits properly.
Create a liner for the inside of the box, using the bottom as a template. If you are writing anything on the inside now is the time. Because it will be much harder to write on once it's glued in.
Glue it in
Glue in your object
Put your altar together!
