When I received these mini glass bottles from Canvas Corp, I knew they'd be the ideal storage solution for my seed beads, so I decided to make them into a marquee style sign for my craft room.
When I received these mini glass bottles from Canvas Corp, I knew they'd be the ideal storage solution for my seed beads, so I decided to make them into a marquee style sign for my craft room.
For this project, you'll need some cardboard letters to spell out a word and lots of mini bottles with cork lids.
Decide where you'd like each bottle to sit (like lights on a marquee sign) and mark with a pencil.
Make a small x cut with a cutting knife.
Carefully widen the hole to the size of your bottle, making sure not to make it too big. I used a pen to get mine just right.
Make sure the bottle fits nice and snuggly.
Make your remaining holes in the same way.
Paint your letters with metallic silver paint.
Leave to dry before adding another coat if required.
Once dry, fill your mini jars with seed beads of various colours and fill up your letters.
An easy way to hang your letters is to glue them to the top of a frame using no more nails or a strong glue.
What do you think?
