I got this unfinished jewelry box for my birthday from my little sister! The minute I looked at it for the first time, I immediately saw possibilities, and started brain storming what I wanted on the top, that’s when I decided to do this! The map is a more up to date map from here: https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/the-map The map is of Elethia, home of Dragons (once known as The Land hidden in the Elements, but universally or in other worlds as Elethia) I’m very happy with the map, this is my second most recent attempt at making this map, (in a total of 4 successful times of drawing the map out) but the first version of the map that I pasted on top of the jewelry box was destroyed by my dear crafting friend and now foe: dimensional modpodge, (so sad and tragic but now I know ). So after messing up the map that time I was scared to paint with tea on the already drawn out 2nd copy of the map. But I love how it turned out and am very lucky it didn’t get ruined. But before I had put the first map on I painted the jewelry box a bit, and I discovered how wonderfully the acrylic paint piped on completely dried nail polish! I mean really with the colors I used the gold really pops! And I also cut the cork board to fit evenly into the lid (which had a mirror built in). Then today I finished painting, modpodging, adding photos/pictures of pictures. And now it’s finally finished!
