I excepted a swap challenge from a lady in Ireland, knitting her husband a very long scarf for 2 items she made. I used Marble wool from Hobbycraft and found that 1 ball over 60 stitches gave me 27 inches in length. I used just over 2 balls in the end and it was just slightly taller than my 65 inch height! The pattern i used was straight forward and quite fun to do although if i didnt concentrate, would quite easily knit across without thinking of the pattern lol. Knit and purl alternate blocks in 10 stitches over 10 rows remembering to keep the same format on the return rows so you get the repeat block pattern!
