A Nice sweet crisp edge with soft fruity inside.
Heat oven 180 degrees. Place the fruit, butter & water in a pan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 mins, set aside.
Stir together the flour, salt & Bicarb. Stir in the sugar.
Pour the fruit, egg & malt into the flour. Stir to combine.
Pour into a tin. Bake for 35-45 mins until cooked through. Leave in the tin for 10 mins.
Serve with butter.
