Where can you get these? They sell these mini frames at most art and craft stores, and you can buy them online at most places including Michaels and Amazon. They come in different sizes like 1" x 1" (2.5 x 2.5 cm), 1" x 2" (2.5 x 5 cm), and 2" x 2" (5 x 5 cm).
What color is your canvas? You can leave the frame white and draw with a black Sharpie or a colored Sharpie. You can buy black canvas frames, too, and then draw on them with white Sharpie Paint Markers. You could also paint or spray-paint a white canvas frame in any color you want before drawing on it with a Sharpie.
What Sharpie should you use? Because of the small size, I usually just use the Fine-Point Sharpie. I find that anything too thick doesn’t work for detail, and anything too thin doesn’t hold enough presence on the frame. But feel free to try anything you like or feel inspired by!
What should you draw? I’ve always enjoyed giving these as gifts, and I usually draw something unique about the person I’m giving it to. Sometimes, I hand letter their name or draw an inside joke between us or their favorite object.
What can you do with them? You can lean them against your books, hang them on the wall with a nail, or put a magnet on the back and hang them on your refrigerator.
