I don’t know about you guys, but between wet felting and taking care of alpacas and chickens, my hands take a beating in the winter! Dry, cracked skin is not fun so I thought I’d share my favorite hand scrub recipe.

2 1/2 Cups White sugar 2/3 Cup Olive Oil 2 TB Lemon Juice 1 TB Lemon Extract or Essential Oil You also need a medium sized bowl, measuring cup and spoons, sealable container and mixing spoons. This recipe will fill a pint sized Mason jar.
In a bowl, mix together 2 1/2 cups of white sugar, 2/3 cup olive oil, 2 Tablespoons lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon or lemon extract or essential oil. If the scrub is too dry for you, go ahead and add a bit more oil.
Spoon the hand scrub into a Mason jar or other sealable container. These scrubs make wonderful gifts! Make a bunch and give it away to your friends! Anybody that works outside will appreciate a good hand scrub and love you forever.
