Make your old cotton jersey t-shirts into useful undies! These boxer shorts are cute and so comfortable to wear! Best of all they cost almost nothing to make! This boxer pattern is a free pattern on my website, but you can find other free boxer patterns online.
Lay your t-shirt on a flat surface face up. Plan where to put your boxer pattern pieces so they will have as much of the colorful t-shirt graphics on them as possible. Cut out the pattern pieces.
Sew the front crotch seams together with a narrow zig zag stitch or serger. Repeat for back crotch seam. With right sides together, sew side seams together. Turn right side out. Measure elastic to comfortably fit your waist. Overlap ends 1/2" and secure with zig zag stitches. Apply elastic to wasitband of boxers with zig zag stitches, overlapping the fabric and stretching slightly as you sew.
