Description

Create pendant necklaces to go with any outfit using plumbing washers, scrapbook paper and a bit of glaze.

Instructions

  1. Small 110774 2f2015 09 02 160330 washer%2bnecklace%2b01

Choose your scrapbook paper to compliment and coordinate each other. You'll want to use three different patterns/solids to add drama to your pendant.

Trace your washers onto the scrapbook paper and cut out.

Mod Podge or glue your paper onto the washers. While still wet, poke a hole through the centre of the paper and fold the edges back and around the inner circle of the washer. Use an emery board to gently file down any rough edges on the outsides.

Coat your washers with a Crystal Effects glaze or other epoxy-type resin. This will give it a more bulbous shape and a jewelry shine. Sprinkle glitter over top if you wish. Allow to dry completely - which could take up to an entire day.

Layer your washers and string together using your leather cord. You can use larger washers for a bolder statement, or string several smaller ones together and create a coordinating bracelet.
