scissors or rotary cutter, ruler, and a big eye needle are the other needs for this project.

cut the plastic using the pattern and fold in half (place some double sided tape in the middle)
use a marker to sign a dots 3/8" apart - use the hole punch onto the dots (you might have to use some alcohol to remove the leftover marker stains)
crochet a single crochet in each hole around, working two single crochet every 5 stitches on the curved sides, so it won't be tight.
Once it's all crocheted, fold the plastic in half, and start sewing the straight parts together, starting from the rounded edge going down.
Once you reached about 2" from the middle part, fold it in 1/3 to create the wider base
and sew it in place; repeat on the other side.
Time to crochet the scalloped edge: 7 dc into the same stitch - sk 1 st - 1 sc - sk 1 st - 7 dc into the same stitch
pin the zipper in place and sew it. ... Done!
I already used this cosmetics clutch on three plane rides, and it got the full TSA approval!!
I made also a beach bag using the same material, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana. you can see it here : http://www.inspirationrealisation.com/2013/06/diy-transparent-beach-bag.html
