i was looking for a nice apron but all look old fashioned and i decided to give a try for myself wearing something i would really use in the kitchen but still feeling cute so i sew all this by hand, is not perfect but to be a first try my hubby and i were happy with the results :)
cut out fabric pieces adding 1 cm seam allowance. 18 cm for the top part (make a curve in each side for under the arms so it shapes your body 50 cm from top to waist 42 cm for hips wide and for the bottom mesure from hips until the lenght desired
cut 2 pieces of fabric like the shape of a moon of 45 cm from left to right and 54 cm the contour of inside the moon and the 2 corners
to make apron bib, hem side seams and hem, all around the apron, i did only in the top part leaving bias in both side of the waist to make string ends
to make frills, sew the bias binding along outer edge of frill, then make some tucks in frill so that the top of the frill lenght fits across the apron width
assemble. sew frills to apron skirt. DETAILS: as you may notice im new explaining a project so just look to the pictures and you can figure it out how easy is to do it just to looking without much explanation. i add a deatils pocket under the frills so i can put stuff in there and i but some bias in the waist to shape the body and make it cute :) have fun!
