I made this for the Breaking Dawn release party at Borders (where I was working at the time) I also had an "Alice" to be my partner. This took many, many hours to do. The sleeves took (if I remember correctly) about 8 hours each. The gold brocade had to be hand stitched with a VERY thick needle. First, I cut off the cuffs of the original sleeves and attached the blue fabric. Then I did each sleeve. The buttons and the stars were easy. While this is not strictly historically correct, I did massive research on Majors outfits and the design is reminiscent, but not exact. The buttons, stars and blue sleeves are all relatively correct. I modernized it because have you seen Majors outfits? Ew.
