Inspired by the tedious work of using a simple watering can to water your garden, give your ordinary garden hose a life of its own. This tutorial demonstrates how to make a water fountain appear to be pouring through a magical spigot through a hose filling a watering can.
Inspired by the tedious work of using a simple watering can to water your garden, give your ordinary garden hose a life of its own. This tutorial demonstrates how to make a water fountain appear to be pouring through a magical spigot through a hose filling a watering can.
Watch my online tutorial.
Cut a hole in the top half on one side of a tin watering can.
Curl up a standard short water hose and place it flat on a table.
Feed a sturdy garden wire through the male end of the garden hose.
Bend hose where wire is inside of hose into S shape and curl the bottom part for support so the hose opening can stand up.
Take a water fountain pump and feed the electrical plug through the inside of the watering can and place pump inside the bottom of the can.
Plug a floral water tube inside the water hose opening.
Put clear hose inside of the water tube plug and attach the other end to the water pump inside the watering can. Once water is pumping, this will allow the water to pour over clear hose so it can appear to be coming out of the garden hose opening.
Take another sturdy garden and do step 3 and 4 to the female end of garden hose. Lastly, screw on the spigot.
