It was really difficult at the start because I had no idea what I was doing. then I worked it out and It was pretty easy after that.
It was really difficult at the start because I had no idea what I was doing. then I worked it out and It was pretty easy after that.
I was asked to make a tutorial after I finished making the bag, so I had to make a smaller thing to take some pics. step 1: start with a page from an old magazine
Step 2: fold in half, lengthways
Step 3: fold in half, lengthways, again.
Step 4: fold in thirds, lengthways, and glue it down.
Dont cut them in half yet. I only did for the tutorial because I didnt want to make a full size one. Step 5:make lots of strips. To make the full size bag I made you need about 1 and half magazines worth.
Step 6: Get a piece of packing tape, lay the pieces out half way on the tape, alternating what side they are on. (yeah i know that didnt make sense but look at the (poor quality) picture and see if you can make sense of it) Do this for the entire length of the strip that will go the other way.
Step 7: place a strip going the opposite way to the other across the middle of the tape, but to one side.
Step 8: fold it in half, so that all the strips are in a neat line.
Step 9: weave strips going the opposite direction, Until you reach the top. Tape up all the sides when you've finished
to make the bag you will need to make 5 panels, the larger panels should be a whole strip by a whole strip. you will nedd two of these. the side and bottom panels should be a half strip but a whole strip, you will need three of these. Once you have made all of these panels you can tape them together. I havent made a handle, so you will have to figure it out yourself. good luck. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
