I had a very boring purple lamp from Argos that just wasn't going with the vibe of my flat. So, I used some old shirt fabric to funk the shade up!

First, you'll need to carefully detach your shade from the lamp. Make sure everything is unplugged.
Next, cut out the appropriate size of fabric and make sure it all fits and lines up well.
Now, make sure the fabric is taut around the shade, with no wrinkles. It will also look better if the pattern is straight and it matches somewhat along the seam. Try to make the seam as neat as possible. Use your glue gun to glue it all down.
Glue the top and bottom edges of the fabric down and make sure there's no flapping bits of material that may come into contact with the bulb.
Ta da! Lovely new lamp!
