Description

It's my very first tutorial and I just wrote too much. I hope the pictures show what they should..

Instructions

  1. Small img 0719

First of all: gather your materials. Ribbon and Lace of your choice :) (And sorry if I make mistakes in spelling or stuff :D) Take a pretty thin needle ! It's easier to poke it through the zig zag !

  2. Small img 0720

Cut it into the right length :) I think I used way more than only 10 cm of lace.. but it depends on how voluminous you want it to be later on ! (If you get too much you can cut it later ! Don't worry.)

  3. Small img 0726

Then start with your rose. Take the zig zag and fold it like this. <- then poke your needle through ! Don't forget the knot in your thread. You should take it "double" if you know what I mean :D

  4. Small img 0727

I hope you can see what I did. Just poke the needle through the end on the top.. <- Look there ! ..and pull !

  5. Small img 0728

Now poke through the lower edge of the zig zag (the lower "zig" you could say ;D).. <- See? ..and pull !

  6. Small img 0735

[Shaky picture.. sorry] Just go on, always through the lower zig ;) Pull, poke through rose, through zig, through rose,.. and so on..

  7. Small img 0739

If you have no zig zag anymore start to umm sew your bottom together. Easiest way is to look where the rose is falling apart and just sew it ! <- Somewhat not elegant, just cut that fuzzy stuff off.. and don't worry about all the "thread marks" on the bottom.. you won't see them when finished.

  8. Small img 0736

Voila ! Your rose is finished :3 Now either cut the thread off or use it for the lace. It doesn't matter anyways..

  9. Small img 0740

Now I'm using a white thread for the lace. Again double. Again poking through the rose-bottom. Pull.

  10. Small img 0741

<- See what I do ? Just do the same :)

  11. Small img 0742

Then just umm.. how to say.. press the lace down the thread untill it reaches the rose. <- It will look like this. Just straighten it a bit and be careful to not twist the lace..

  12. Small img 0743

<- Pull pull pull. Until it looks like this :)

  13. Small img 0747

<- Sew sew sew until it looks like this :D

  14. Small img 0746

And youre finished :) Now you can sew it with the rest of the thread ANYWHERE.

  15. Have fun with it :3 And show me your version if you like it.
