This project will take you anywhere from a couple of hours to a weekend to complete. I knit during a 3-hour car ride (both ways, so 6 hrs) and was pretty much finished after that. I picked up this rainbow pastel yarn in a thrift shop along with some needles for $3 total. I cast on apprx. 40 stitches and knit until I was out of yarn, which ended up being pretty long (photo #2). I picked up stitches from the beginning and did a 3-needle bind off because I'm lazy and I hate seaming together pieces. If you do this, make sure to bind off loose enough to match the rest of the cowl. You can always do a regular bind off and sew the edges together. Weave in loose ends and wear with pride! I ended up knitting another from a similar pink yarn from the same thrift store bag (gotta love those deals!) for my sister.
