I don't know about you, but I tend to get tired of the hard reds and greens you always see over Christmas. I also love Lolita style, and tea. So sitting in my dad's cafe one day I came up with the idea for this stylized Christmas wreath, featuring a tiny tea set. You can choose the colors you want, and use your favorite fabrics- plus you can even replace the tea set with whatever you'd like! Have fun :D

fist off you're going to want to get your hands on one of these doll's tea sets. it needn't cost you much, this one's from the 99p shop ^^
grab your glue gun and permanently attach any lids to pots. then paint all of the tea set with sparkly nail polish, and set aside to dry.
print out and trace the circular template onto you polystyrene sheet. cut out to form a stiff base for your wreath.
trace the template again on to felt, but this time leave a little room around the edges when you cut out so it will completely cover your polystyrene base.
cut out a strip of fabric 132 x 15 cm (this measurement includes seam allowances)
sew the ends together in to a loop. then fold the edges in to the middle so they overlap. sew a running stitch down it to keep the flaps in place, then pull on them to gather your fabric loop to the size of your polystyrene base.
take 132 cm of lace and gather it down to 66 cm
glue this around the outside edge of the base, folding over the raw edges at the ends.
glue your fabric ruffle on to of this. take out your tacking to make it neater.
turn over and stick your felt circle over the edges of the base.
Now your tea set should be dry. if you want, you can take a fine brush and paint a design on to each piece, like my simple snowflake here.
stick these on to your wreath, leaving a space at the bottom. it's advisable to place the tea pot at the top so it doesn't wheigh down your wreath in a funny place and make it lop-sided.
tie a simple long-tailed bow out of wide ribbon
sew your bells in the middle of the bow
glue the bow in the space at the bottom of your wreath.
add the plastic gems for sparkle! alternatively, use sequins or spots of glitter. anything sparkly.
to hang, glue a loop of thin ribbon on to the back. cover the raw ends with a piece of felt.
finally, find somewhere to hang it!
