A traditional fruit loaf from Lincolnshire, usually eaten with cheese or just some good quality butter. It doesn't actually contain plums these days, that is an old reference to dried fruit.

Soak the fruit overnight in the tea
Stir in the sugar, flour and eggs (I used flax eggs as I'm vegan - am easy substitution)
Spoon into a greased and lined loaf tin Bake at 150C for about two hours
Leave to cool in the tin and then wrap in greaseproof paper
