Keeping one less light bulb from the landfills by turning it into an angel :)
Basically I painted on the angel's face and searched my craft bin for any and all white fabric and decorations!
With this craft you don't have to follow the steps exactly. It is better left to your own judgement and creativity but below are just some guidelines and suggestions!
Have fun!

  • Step 1

First, obviously, you will need an old light bulb to create the body of the angel. Then I painted on her face and let it dry.

  • Step 2

After the paint was dry, I started to wrap the doily around the bottom of the bulb to figure out how I wanted her dress to look. I cut it to fit and sewed it together so that it fit snuggly. I also sewed on 2 small pearl beads to the front just for an added touch.

  • Step 3

Then I used a brown pipe cleaner to make her hair and a yellow one for her halo. I glued those onto the top of her head to cover the silver part of the bulb.

  • Step 4

I made her wings out of silver beading wire but paper doilies could also work if you do not have wire.

  • Step 5

Lastly, I glued a bottle cap to the bottom of the bulb and surrounded it with the fluffy stuff you put in your pillows to make it look like she was sitting on a cloud!

Remember all of these steps are just what I did and are nothing more than suggestions. Be creative! Make your angel however you envision her! Enjoy!
