Lemon Peel

Lemons are my best friend :-)

About

Lemons are one of my favourite fruits, easily. With some hot water and honey, lemon can help detox your system! Lemon juice actually contains acids that exfoliate your skin, just like the acids dermos use to give patients peels. However, with a lemon you ain't got no need to pay the big bucks. Want to even out your skin tone? Give this lemon peel a try.

You Will Need (1 thing)

  • 1 Lemon

Steps (2 steps, 15 minutes)

  1. 1

All you need is a single lemon. Take a wedge and squeeze it's juice into a little dish. Apply the juice to your cleansed face straight and leave it on for up to twenty minutes, depending on your skin's sensitivity. Leave it on for a minimum of at least fifteen minutes. When you are through, use water to rinse the dried juice off your face. Finish up with your regular routine.

  2. 2

Repeat this three to four times a week, and you should begin to see brighter, clearer skin. Lemon juice contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) which exfoliate dead skin cells and leave you with super soft and smooth skin. I find this works really well on acne marks/scars. As with using any kind of chemical exfoliant on your skin, make sure you wear sunscreen every day (this will also help acne marks fade and keep wrinkles at bay, not to mention sun damage!). In my opinion, this is way better than any chemical peel you could get at the derm's office.
