Made for a craft along on The Leaky Lounge, I crocheted a mini cauldron, added a handle and used colored fiberfill for the contents, letting some leak out! This pattern was adapted from the Pot 'O Gold tutorial on crochetmemories.com.

Instructions

  1. Abbreviations Lsc: Insert hook in stitch indicated by pattern instructions, 2 rounds below draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through both loops on hook to complete the stitch.

  2. Bottom Round 1: Ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with a sl st in first sc. (8 sc)

  3. Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in joining, * 2 sc in next sc,; repeat from * around, join with a sl st in first sc. (16 sc)

  4. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in joining, 2 sc in next sc, * sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around, join with a sl st in first sc. (24 sc)

  5. Sides Round 4: (Working in back loops only) Ch 1, sc in joining; *sc in next sc; repeat from * around; join with a sl st in first sc. (24 sc)

  6. Round 5: (Working in both loops) Ch 1, sc in joining, ch 1, skip next sc; *sc in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first sc. (12 sc)

  7. Round 6: Ch 1, sc in joining, Lsc in next sc 2 rounds below; * sc in next sc, Lsc in next sc 2 rounds below; repeat from * around; join with a sl st in first sc. (24 sts. )

  8. Round 7: Sl st in next st; ch 1, sc in same st, ch 1, skip next st; * sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st; repeat from * around; join with a sl st to first sc. (12 sc)

  9. Round 8: Repeat round 6.

  10. Round 9: Ch 1, sc joining; sc in next 2 sts, decrease over next 2 sts * sc in next 2 sts dec over next 2 st; repeat from * around three more times; join with a sl st in first sc. (18 sc)

  11. Round 10: Ch 1, sc in joining and around; join with a sl st in first sc. (18 sc)

  12. Round 11: Ch 1, 2 sc in joining; * 2 sc in next sc; repeat from * around; join with a sl st in first sc. (36 sc)

  13. Row 12: Ch 17, slipstitch in opposite side of cauldron.

  14. Row 13: Ch 1, sc in each chain across to first side. Slip stitch in side of cauldron.

  15. Finishing Break yarn. Weave in all ends. Shape your cauldron! Fill with Polyfill/roving and with hook, pull a bit of the filling through near bottom to create the "leak".
