Cut Out + Keep

Layered Skirt

Hand sewed, four layers with tulle and lace, and ribbon to tie :)

Hi :) I got inspiration for this skirt by searching through this site and using my head, so it's difficult to say where I got the idea from. I hand sew everything, as I don't have a sewing machine and I'm much too far away to own one. I didn't use a pattern, I just put the fabrics on the floor and cut them, making rectangles. All the 4 layers are almost 2m long. I started with the ribbon, measured aroung where I wear the skirts and then sewed the layers onto it, making pleats, but leaving some fabric left, so when tied it covers what it should :P I didn't sew hems (lazyness). I only bought the tulle and the lace I sewed in the bottom layer :) About the time... I really don't know how long I took, but it was a lot because I don't sew very well and I had to undo and start again some times.
