I always looked for an easy solution to keep my laptop comfortable on my legs without burning them or cut the ventilation of the computer.
I watched out for some products and decided to do it by myself. So here is the result ;)

You Will Need (5 things)
- Filling or old pillow
- (Wooden) Board
- Scissors
- Fabric
- Sewing Machine
Steps (14 steps, 90 minutes)
-
1
Gather your materials. You can use any fabric you want, mix it or make a patchwork. Then you need a (wooden) board that has aproximately the size of your laptop. For the filling i used an old pillow.
-
2
Cut a piece of fabric in the size of your board, thinking of 1 cm seam allowance. This will be later the bottom or the top of your pillow.
-
3
Use the first piece of fabric as stencil for the second part an cut it out.
-
4
Now you should have two identic piece that are giong to be the top and the bottom of the pillow.
-
5
Now we carry on with the sides. Take the height you want to have your pillow and add 2 cm seam allowance. I wanted my pillow 12 cm high, so y measured 14 cm.
-
6
If you do step 5 for all the sides it should look like this.
-
7
Now pin the sides to the top of the pillow.
-
8
Sew all together and repeat with the other sides.
-
9
This is what it should look like after sewing togehter 3 sides.
-
10
Sew the last side and pin on the top. Sew all around.
-
11
Leave a gap for the filling.
-
12
Turn it inside out and fill it. Sew the gap.
-
13
Now you have the finished pillow!

Now put on the board and you are finished. If you want you can hot glue it, but in my case it kept itself in place.
Enjoy!
