This is a How-To make a snug laptop sleeve for your computer. It is easy and very basic to make. Because it needs almost no fabric, it is a good way to use leftover fabric.
Also if you don't use a fabric with a pattern, you can sew on fun patches, or create your own!

You Will Need (5 things)
- 1 m Cotton Fabric
- 2 Button(s)
- ½ m Padding
- 20 cm Rope
- 20 in Bias Tape
Steps (7 steps, 120 minutes)

The first step is to take the measurements of your laptop.
There is
a = Lenght
b = Width
c = ThicknessThen you need to cut out the 3 pieces you will need to build the sleeve:
1 = The pattern outside cotton
2 = The plain inside cotton
3 = The padding that goes in between -
2
You take the two cotton pieces and put them back to back (right side facing each other) and then sew the 2 long sides and one short side.
Then flip it back over
-
3
Then you take you padding with should be the same size as your cotton pocket and you stuff it inside so that is nice and snug.

4
The next step is to set your padding. I chose to sew squares about 2 1/2 inches apart through and through
-
5
The next step is to mark where the flap will start. For this, I just took my laptop and folded the fabric over and marked up to where I should sew the sides.
To sew the sides, you can choose to do is right side out or to flip it over so the seams are inside, your choice, depending on the style you want to giev the sleeve.

I then decide to cut trianglaes off the flap. The end of the triangle is where I will set up the rope to tie to the buttons.
You can choose to not do this step, and simply keep the top flat.

I then finished the rest of the raw seams with yellow bias tape.
If you've left the top flat, you can do a double turn and then sew it to hide the raw edges.
Finally you need to do a closing device of you choice. I went with button and rope, but you can make button holes, velcro, snaps....whichever you like!! And you are done!!
Enjoy!!
