I first saw these pins in an embroidery book called doodle stitching, but it doesn't tell you how to make them. They are just included in a project on how to make a tree stump pin-cushion. I think they're really cute and were so easy to make. Sorry I have no pics, but I hope its simple enough to follow without.

Shape the green into a leaf shape and draw on the viens and mid-rib with the end of a pin.
Make the red into little beetle shapes. Draw on the head and wing cases with the end of the pin.
Push the flat top of the pin into the bottom of the lady-birds and leaves, to make a little dent.Bake.
Paint your ladybirds with the black paint to pick out the head and spots. Paint with clear nail varnish and glue onto pins when dry. Finished!
