Use the delicate patterns of different laces to create a beautiful sugar skull applique you can use on a tee-shirt, pillow, or anything!

Instructions

1. Watch my video tutorial on YouTube!

2. 

   Print the skull template, and cut out along the outline. Also cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth holes.

3. 

   Trace the template onto the mesh (using a white marker while the mesh is laying on a dark surface works best), and cut out the outline of the mesh.

4. 

   Select and cut sections of lace to use for the eyes, nose, mouth, and outline. Then fill in the rest of the skull area with different lacey patterns.

5. 

   Use fabric glue or a needle and thread to adhere the lace to the mesh. You can add additional beading and pearls to decorate the skull as desired.

6. 

   Use the finished applique to decorate a teeshirt, pillow, or duffel bag!
