You can wrap this shawl once or twice around your neck, depending on the temperature :-) The pattern is very easy to knit and it does not take a lot of time. I made one in orange and one in blue. It is best to take a yarn with a colour pattern, otherwise it might look boring :-)

Cast on 180 stitches on 5mm circular needles.
Knit four rows in garterstitch. On circular needles this means: knit one row, pearl the second, knit the third and pearl the fourth.
Then knit this pattern until you think the shawl is wide enough: row 1: knit all stitches row 2: repeat this: *yarn over, knit two stitches together* You can switch yarn after a few rows, as I did with the blue shawl.
When your shawl is wide enough, finish it with again 4 rows garterstich and cast off. Tadaa!
