The first pattern I found on Ravelry that really pushed me to knit something rather than just practicing. They're super cute and pretty easy to make! The booties are knitted on straight needles in a garter stitch and are then sewn. PLEASE post your versions if you make these! I'd just love to see them!

Gather your materials, I used some left over yarn I had in my stash. You'll need: Knitting needles Stitch holder, or scrap yarn to hold stitches Yarn Buttons Needle Thread
Follow the pattern: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/free-baby-bootie-knitting-patterns2.htm If you're a member of Ravelry, add it to your notebook: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mary-jane-booties-5
When you're done, post your version!! I'd LOVE to see them!
